Catholic
Social Justice

Respect for the human person entails respect for the rights that flow from his dignity as a person, created in God's Image.

"Society ensures social justice when it provides the conditions that allow associations or individuals to obtain what is their due according to their vocation and nature." - CCC  1928

Is this not the fast which I desire:
to loosen the bonds of wickedness,
to undo the bands of the yoke,
and to let the oppressed go free

and break every yoke? “Is it not to divide your bread with the hungry and bring the homeless poor into the house; when you see the naked, to cover him; and not to hide yourself from your own flesh? Then your light will break out like the dawn... Then you will call, and the Lord will answer; and He will say, ‘Here I am.’  (Isaiah 58: 6 - 9)
